Every act of hospitality — whether opening your home, volunteering, praying, or supporting the ministry — helps create belonging for newcomers across Canada.
How to Participate
HOST
Become a Host
Open your home and offer friendship, belonging, and hope to immigrants, international students, or refugees.
Volunteer
Volunteer
Support newcomers through mentorship, transportation, meals, friendship, or practical care.
Pray
Pray With Us
Partner with the ministry through faithful prayer and receive regular prayer updates.
Support
Support the Ministry
Through financial giving, sharing the ministry, or partnering with your church, your support extends hospitality to more people.
Open Your Home
Hosts open one room of their home to a guest. They share friendship, community and the love of Christ with their guest. They ensure their home is safe (a physical safety checklist is provided).
Hosts will create a suitable guest / host agreement with personalised house rules. Hosts may want to take a 1-2 months off between hosting assignments. Hosts are not expected to help with additional supports for the guests, freeing them to simply focus on housing. A community of hosts will be happy to walk along with you.
Hosting is not about having everything together — it’s about opening what you have with grace.
Share the Love of Christ
Experience one of the most meaningful ways to live out your faith by extending Christ’s love through everyday hospitality.
Live the Gospel Daily
Use your home and the ordinary moments of life with intentionality, allowing hospitality to become a natural expression of the Gospel.
Experience New Cultures
Build genuine friendships, discover different cultures, and enjoy new traditions and foods together.
Be Transformed
Hosting is often life-changing — not only for your guest, but for you as well. Relationships formed through hospitality can leave a lasting impact on both lives.
Bless the Next Generation
Children raised in a home of hospitality gain broader perspectives, deeper compassion, and a heart for welcoming others.
Experience New Cultures
Build genuine friendships, discover different cultures, and enjoy new traditions and foods together.
Not everyone is able to host — and that’s okay. Companions walk alongside guests by offering friendship, encouragement, and practical support through everyday activities such as sharing meals, going for walks, shopping, watching movies, or simply spending time together. These relationships are mutually enriching, creating meaningful connections and lifelong friendships for both guests and companions.
“When we practice hospitality, we experience the thrill of feeling God’s power to conquer our fears and our stinginess and all the psychological gravity of our self-centeredness. And there are few joys, if any, greater than experiencing the liberating power of God’s hospitality making us a new and radically different kind of people, who love to reflect the glory of His grace as we extend it to others in all kinds of hospitality.”
— John Piper
Hospitality begins with one open heart — and sometimes, just one room.
